Softball Recap: Harvard Has No Trouble Against Alden-Hebron

Harvard had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Alden-Hebron on Thursday. The Hornets were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Green Giants. The Hornets not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 28th (when they won 15-0).

Harvard has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.2 runs over those games. As for Alden-Hebron, they dropped their record down to 0-10 with the loss, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harvard will square off against Crystal Lake Central at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Alden-Hebron, they will take on Hiawatha at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
