The Ithaca Little Red waltzed into Thursday's contest with six straight wins but they left with seven. They snuck past Johnson City with a 28-22 victory. That's another feather in the cap for Ithaca, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Johnson City's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Peyton Brzozowy, who threw for 181 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 84 yards.
Ithaca's victory was their fourth straight on the road , which pushed their record up to 7-2. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-6 Montrose and 2-7 Johnson City (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 31.6% over those games). As for Johnson City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Ithaca does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Johnson City will be playing in front of their home fans against Tioga at 9:45 p.m. on November 10th.
