For the first time this season, Kuna will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Owyhee Storm at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Kuna will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Twin Falls on Tuesday. The Kavemen blew past the Bruins 26-14. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Kavemen as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Kuna got a massive performance out of Remington Quick, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with four runs, five RBI, and two doubles. Those five RBI gave Quick a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Elle Wemhoff, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5.
Kuna was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .553. They are 3-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Owyhee strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They never let Ridgevue get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory.
Owyhee also got a great performance from Hailey Bock as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Grace Groulx was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. She has been hot, having also posted at least one stolen base the last seven times she's played. Alaina Bryant was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Kuna's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-6. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 21.7 runs over those games. As for Owyhee, their win bumped their record up to 11-0.
Thursday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Kuna has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .464. However, it's not like Owyhee struggles in that department as they've averaged .491. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Kuna suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Owyhee when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Kavemen have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
