Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Dubuque Senior should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They will look to defend their home turf against Iowa City West at 8:00 PM. Dubuque Senior come in off of three low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the team is obviously eager to reverse.
Last week, Dubuque Senior came up short against Washington, falling 0-10. This makes it the second loss in a row for Dubuque Senior.
Iowa City West had a rough outing against Bettendorf two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Iowa City West took their contest against Southeast Polk 31-17.
Iowa City West's victory lifted them to 2-1 while Dubuque Senior's defeat dropped them down to 1-2. We'll see if Iowa City West's success rolls on or if Dubuque Senior are able to steal their positive momentum.
