Basketball Recap: Cole Forbrich Key Part of a Team Effort in Eagles Win

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Evergreen Christian on Monday. Everything went their way against the Rosedale Christian Academy Rosedale Panthers as the Evergreen Christian Eagles made off with an 88-65 win. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Rosedale Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Evergreen Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cole Forbrich, who went 7 for 8 to rack up 22 points. What's more, Forbrich also posted a 88% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in November of 2023. Landon Stover also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Evergreen Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Several Rosedale Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Andrew Warfield, who went 6 of 12 en route to 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Francisco-Hayes, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten assists.

Evergreen Christian's victory bumped their record up to 21-13. As for Rosedale Christian Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-23.

Evergreen Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rosedale Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on February 18th against Sandy Spring Friends at 6:30 p.m.
