Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Norah Berkenstock and June Berkenstock Lead Hauser to Victory

After losing to Indianapolis Lutheran the last time they met, Hauser decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Hauser Jets took down the Indianapolis Lutheran Saints 45-26 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Jets.

Leading Hauser to victory were June Berkenstock and Norah Berkenstock. June went 7 of 11 on her way to 14 points and eight rebounds, while Norah posted 11 points along with six boards and four steals. Those 14 points gave June a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Manley, who put up three points.

Hauser was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Indianapolis Lutheran only posted five assists.

When it comes to explaining why Indianapolis Lutheran lost, don't look at Caitlyn Rose. Despite the final result, she had eight points in addition to eight boards and three blocks.

Hauser's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.7 points per game. As for Indianapolis Lutheran, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Hauser wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 53-30 victory against Crothersville on the 7th. As for Indianapolis Lutheran, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 53-44 win against Tindley on the 7th.
