Brandon is 0-10 against Lake Fenton since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Friday. The Brandon Blackhawks will look to defend their home court  against the Lake Fenton Blue Devils at 5:30  p.m. The timing isn't great for Brandon: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Lake Fenton has snatched up 14 consecutive wins on the road.
 Brandon suffered their closest  defeat yet this season on Monday. They fell just short of North Branch by a score of  46-44.
 The losing side was boosted by   Riley Abney, who  scored 25 points along with eight  rebounds and five  steals. That was a full 56.8% of Brandon's points, marking the ninth time in a row she's  earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was  Jaden Williamson, who  scored 11 points along with five  rebounds.
 Meanwhile, Lake Fenton stacked  a  fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They claimed a resounding  68-39 win over Owosso at home. Given Lake Fenton's advantage  in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings  (they are ranked 81st, while Owosso is ranked 291st), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Brandon has  been struggling recently, as they've  lost seven of their last eight matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Lake Fenton, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.
