They took their game at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 37-0 victory over Halifax Academy. The win was nothing new for Melbourne Central Catholic as they're now sitting on seven straight.
Melbourne Central Catholic's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brian Oesterle, who rushed for 129 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries. Oesterle's longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Allen, who threw for 131 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes.
Melbourne Central Catholic's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.5 points per game. As for Halifax Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-3.
