Basketball Recap: Westside Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

Westside extended their home winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Domonique Billue. The Westside Seminoles claimed a resounding 69-35 victory over the Pike County Pirates thanks in part to Billue, who almost dropped a double-double on 27 points and nine boards. The game was her seventh in a row with at least ten points.

Destiny Spencer was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to 16 rebounds and three blocks. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last ten games she's played.

Despite the loss, Pike County still got an impressive performance from Sadie Lewis, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Kerrah Foster, who had 11 points.

Westside is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29.3 points. As for Pike County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westside won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Callaway at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westside is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53 points per game this season. As for Pike County, they are taking a road trip to challenge Morgan County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Morgan County will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Pike County surely won't give up without a fight.
