It was a good run, but the Kingsland Knights unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 52-44 to Spring Grove. Kingsland was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Spring Grove apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.
Spring Grove's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Emerson Ingvalson, who scored 16 points along with 6 rebounds. Ingvalson is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Kinley Soiney was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with 6 rebounds.
Kingsland's loss dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Spring Grove, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Kingsland will look to defend their home court on Monday against Schaeffer Academy at 6:00 p.m. As for Spring Grove, they will face off against Postville at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. Postville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 327th in Iowa, while Spring Grove is ranked 122nd in Minnesota).
