After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Boyd County, the Rowan County Vikings were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They took down Montgomery County 66-51. That's another feather in the cap for Rowan County, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Leading Rowan County to victory were Brayden Mirus and Dashawn Watson. Mirus scored 23 points along with six rebounds, while Watson dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Weston Maxey, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Rowan County is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for Montgomery County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-15.
