The Warner Wildcats entered their tilt with the Calexico Mission RoadRunners with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Warner took down Calexico Mission 56-39 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Warner also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Warner had a senior duo take command as Angel Carachure scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals and Omar Acosta scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. Acosta continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi Lozano, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Warner pushed their record up to 11-9 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for Calexico Mission, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Warner won't have much time to rest: their next match is against The Cambridge School at 5:30 p.m. on January 17th. The Cambridge School is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games. As for Calexico Mission, they will be playing in front of their home fans against San Pasqual Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
