Baseball Recap: Buckfield Has No Trouble Against Carrabec

Buckfield was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Carrabec on Thursday. The Bucks put the hurt on the Cobras with a sharp 9-3 victory. The Bucks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cobras, too.

Gabe White made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. White was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ryder Bragg, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Colby Belanger, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base.

The win got Buckfield back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Buckfield will head out to face off against St. Dominic at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Carrabec, they will venture away from home to take on Telstar at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The game will give the Cobras their first taste of in-conference action this season.
