The Salida Spartans will head out to  challenge the James Irwin Jaguars  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Salida is coming into the  matchup hot, having won their last eight games.

 Salida's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for James Irwin,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 1-7-1.
 Salida took their  victory against James Irwin  when the teams last played  back in October of 2024 by a conclusive  6-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the  team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
