Maywood Academy can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Mendez and snuck past 49-46.
Maywood Academy relied on the efforts of Edinson Castaneda , who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, and Rodrigo Miranda , who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 assists. The contest was Castaneda 's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Fernando Payan , who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds.
Sierra Vista is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Maywood Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.
