The West Seneca East Trojans's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Cheektowaga Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on January 26th. Hopefully West Seneca East focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Tuesday.
West Seneca East suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Pioneer, falling 70-36. While losing is never fun, West Seneca East can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 794th, while Pioneer is ranked 177th).
Despite the defeat, West Seneca East got a solid performance out of Jason Jasinski, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Devon Madding, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Cheektowaga had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 points), and they went ahead and made it three on January 6th. They beat South Park by the very same score they won with last week: 65-47.
West Seneca East's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Cheektowaga, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-0.
