She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run.
 Winton wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Valeria Cervera, who  went 1-for-2 with one  run and one  double.
 Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Escondido's offense. They came up short against  Westview on Friday, falling  11-0. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Wolverines recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.
 Fallbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13-1. As for Escondido, their loss dropped their record down to 7-17.
 Fallbrook skirted past Escondido  3-2 in their previous matchup  back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
