The Rock Falls Rockets were the 57-37 winner over the Lutheran Crusaders when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Rock Falls was dealt a 61-28 defeat at the hands of the Crusaders on Friday. While losing is never fun, Rock Falls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 393rd, while the Crusaders are ranked 126th).
When it comes to explaining why Rock Falls lost, one person who can't be blamed is Claire Bickett. Despite the final result, she almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds. Bickett is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last seven games she's played.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rock Falls will take on the Rams at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Lutheran, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Royal Lions at 1:00 p.m.
