Robertson is 10-0 against the Tigers since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. Hopefully Robertson is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Tigers in New Mexico (the Cardinals are ranked 11th, while the Tigers are ranked 85th).
In what's become a running theme this season, Robertson gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They really took it to Moriarty for the full four quarters, racking up a 74-36 victory at home. With Robertson ahead 41-19 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Robertson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jesse James Gonzales led the charge by scoring 17 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Mateo Contreras, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Raton's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 56-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pecos.
Robertson's victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-1. As for Raton, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost nine of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Robertson against the Tigers in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 86-39 victory. With Robertson ahead 43-20 at the half, the game was all but over already.
