The Corinth Warriors won the last time they faced the Kossuth Aggies, and things went their way on Friday too. Corinth was the clear victor by a 64-43 margin over Kossuth. That looming 64-43 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Corinth yet this season.
Corinth got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Preston Crump out in front who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Braedyn Burress, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
The win got Corinth back to even at 8-8. As for Kossuth, they bumped their record down to 3-8 with that loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Corinth won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Biggersville at 6:30 p.m. on January 6th. Biggersville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten matchups -- so hopefully Corinth likes a good challenge. As for Kossuth, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Alcorn Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
