The Arroyo Dons had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat San Lorenzo 46-7 on the road. The result was nothing new for Arroyo, who have now won four matches by 20 points or more so far this season.
Arroyo got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jonah Shelton out in front who threw for 119 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 passes. Gabriel Flores and his 91 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Arroyo's win.
Arroyo's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Flores and his two sacks.
Arroyo's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for San Lorenzo, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arroyo will take on Newark Memorial at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Newark Memorial will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. San Lorenzo will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Kennedy at 12:00 p.m. on November 4th.
