Make it five blowout wins for Ogden International this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Victoria Soto 63-26 at home. Winning may never get old, but Ogden International sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Ogden International had a senior duo take command as Jazlyn Ortiz scored 25 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists and Zydrea Childs almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Ortiz has scored at least a third of Ogden International's points. Another player making a difference was Miyah Heard, who scored five points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Ogden International is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Victoria Soto, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-5.
Ogden International will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rangers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Illinois (Mather is ranked 396th, while the are ranked 377th). Victoria Soto's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Cyclones at 6:30 p.m. on February 9th.
