The Durand Railroaders won the last time they faced the Owosso Trojans, and things went their way on Monday too. Durand strolled past Owosso with points to spare, taking the game 67-51.
Durand was led to victory by Brayden Joslin and Markell Tate. Joslin scored 20 points along with 4 steals, while Tate scored 18 points along with 6 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Tate has scored at least 25% of Durand's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kwin Knapp, who scored 14 points.
Durand now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Owosso, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Durand will look to defend their home court on Friday against Chesaning at 7:00 p.m. Chesaning will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Owosso won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Fenton at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th.
