There's no place like home for Harnett Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against the E.E. Smith Golden Bulls on Tuesday as they made off with a 19-1 win. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by six runs or more this season.

Rylan Wester was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1. He is becoming a predictor of Harnett Central's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-5 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Sears, who scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Harnett Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .649. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

With the victory, Harnett Central broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-5. As for E.E. Smith, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harnett Central will take on Cape Fear at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Trojans 4.1, the Colts 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for E.E. Smith, they will challenge Harnett Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
