Ocean Springs has gone 8-2 against St. Martin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Thursday. The Ocean Springs Greyhounds will look to defend their home field  against the St. Martin Yellow Jackets  at 6:30  p.m. Ocean Springs is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7  runs per game  this season.
St. Martin will be up against a hot Ocean Springs  squad: the  team just extended their winning streak to three. Ocean Springs walked away with  an   8-5  win over Gulfport  on Tuesday.
 Kylie Untisz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned  (and two unearned) runs on five hits.
 At the plate,  K'Lee Gum was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing  Two bases. while going 3-for-4. That's the most  stolen bases  she has posted since back in May of 2024.  Gracie McDonald was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 Gum wasn't the only one working in the  hit department: Ocean Springs  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least eight  hits in six consecutive  matches.
Meanwhile,  it may have taken  eight innings to finish the job, but St. Martin ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Tuesday. They came out on top against Biloxi by a score of  10-7.
 Savannah Terrell made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out six batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits. Terrell was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with two  RBI and one  double.
 In other batting news,  Madalynn Broussard was a standout: she scored two  runs and  stole  Two bases. while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Kiyara Lee, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with four  RBI, one  stolen base,  and one  run.
 Ocean Springs now  has a winning record of 8-7. As for St. Martin, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.
St. Martin's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them:  Ocean Springs has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .432. It's a different story for St. Martin, though, as  they've  only  averaged .350. Will they be able to contain Ocean Springs' hitters?
 Ocean Springs was able to grind out a solid  win over St. Martin when the teams last played  back in April of 2024, winning  7-4. Will Ocean Springs repeat their success,  or does  St. Martin have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
