Red Springs has gone a perfect 8-0 against Seventy-First recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Red Devils will venture away from home to face off against the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. Red Springs has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 20.
West Bladen hit Red Springs with a four-run third inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Red Devils lost 10-3 to the Knights.

Taquan TJ Ellerbe made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, one double, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Red Springs' success: when he posts at least three hits the team is 2-1 (and 4-9 when he doesn't).
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Seventy-First). Everything went their way against E.E. Smith on Friday as they made off with a 22-8 win. Considering the Falcons have won six matchups by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
The team relied heavily on Charles Gunnings Jr, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Melvin Martinez Correa, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Seventy-First always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .632. They are 7-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Seventy-First's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Red Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.
Monday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Red Springs has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .477. However, it's not like Seventy-First struggles in that department as they've averaged .473. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Red Springs skirted past Seventy-First 4-3 in their previous matchup back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Devils since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
