The South View Tigers and the Gray's Creek Bears will face off  at 7:30  p.m.  on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. South View knows how to get  points on the board -- the  squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully Gray's Creek likes a good challenge.
 In what's become a running theme this season, South View gave their fans yet another huge  victory on Wednesday. They blew past Purnell Swett 71-49. Given South View's advantage  in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings  (they are ranked 271st, while Purnell Swett is ranked 551st), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
  Demarcus Spearman was nothing short of spectacular: he  scored 12 points along with six  rebounds and five  assists. The team also got some help courtesy of  Anthony Farrior, who  scored 11 points along with five  assists and two  steals.
 Meanwhile,  things could have been worse for Gray's Creek, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a  64-49 loss to Lumberton on Wednesday. Gray's Creek has struggled against Lumberton recently, as their  matchup on Wednesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
 South View's victory  ended a three-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 12-9. As for Gray's Creek, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost six of their last seven matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.
 South View came up short against Gray's Creek in their previous meeting  back in January, falling  50-45. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of  Gray's Creek's  Zeek Reed, who  dropped  a double-double on 15 points and ten  rebounds. Now that South View knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
