North Royalton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 45-41 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Olmsted Eagles. One positive for the Bears, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

When it comes to explaining why North Royalton lost, don't look at Sophia Kraus. Despite the final result, she went 5 of 10 en route to 11 points. Another player making a difference was Camryn Sibits, who posted eight points.

North Olmsted had a senior duo take command as Katie Strong had seven points and seven rebounds and Taylor Wengstrom put up 11 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Julia Tahsin, who posted nine points.

North Royalton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for North Olmsted, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

North Royalton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 47-29 loss against Avon on the 28th. As for North Olmsted, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 46-34 defeat against Rocky River on the 4th.
