Ottawa came into Thursday's match having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Leavenworth PIONEERS on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 two weeks ago.

Ottawa easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-19.

Becca Meyer paced Ottawa's offense, picking up 12 kills. Meyer got some help from Leah Askins-Dieterich and her 15 assists.

Ottawa's win bumped their record up to 10-19. As for Leavenworth, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-21.

Coming up, Ottawa will challenge Baldwin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Leavenworth, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Basehor-Linwood on the 9th.
