Kenton Ridge is 9-1 against Urbana since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Cougars will look to defend their home field against the Hillclimbers at 5:15 p.m. Kenton Ridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.

Kenton Ridge is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Indian Lake on Tuesday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lakers.

Ethan Clos was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Nic Stumpf was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Jakob Groeschel also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Urbana never got on the board in their matchup, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Northwestern on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Warriors. The win was some much needed relief for the Hillclimbers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Brody Donahoe, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI and one triple. Another player making a difference was Shane Hoffman, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Urbana was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Urbana's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Kenton Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Kenton Ridge took their win against Urbana in their previous meeting on Monday by a conclusive 10-0 score. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hillclimbers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
