The Normangee Panthers had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They secured a 58-54 W over Elkhart on Tuesday. For Normangee, this counts as revenge for the 49-44 loss Elkhart walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Normangee found their leader in underclassman Pj Edwards, who scored 20 points along with 9 rebounds. Edwards has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Trey Kirven was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
The victory got Normangee back to even at 4-4. As for Elkhart, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.
Normangee's road trip will continue as they head out to face New Waverly at 10:00 a.m. on December 7th. As for Elkhart, they will square off against Cayuga at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday.
