Bobbie Strus was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Admiral Farragut was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 14-4 to Northside Christian.

Shorecrest Prep is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. Monday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Shorecrest Prep has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .478. However, it's not like Admiral Farragut struggles in that department as they've averaged .452. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Shorecrest Prep suffered a grim 9-1 defeat to Admiral Farragut in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Chargers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
