The Manor New Tech 's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 59-6 defeat at the hands of Navarro. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Manor New Tech in their matchups with Navarro: they've now lost four in a row.
Navarro got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Antwoin Mebane out in front who rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown. Mebane was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 65 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Diego Chapa, who rushed for 61 yards and a touchdown.
Manor New Tech's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-8. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Navarro, Lago Vista, and Travis. As for Navarro, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Manor New Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Navarro will square off against Young Men's Leadership Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Young Men's Leadership Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 819th, while Navarro is ranked 331st).
