Jefferson had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Monroe Cheesemakers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-1 on Tuesday.

Jefferson's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Monroe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5.

Coming up, Jefferson will square off against Brodhead/Juda at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Monroe, they will take on Clinton at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.56 runs per game on average), something the Cheesemakers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
