The Brookfield Academy Blue Knights were the 70-63 winner over the Milwaukee Lutheran Red Knights when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Brookfield Academy took a hard 57-41 fall against Milwaukee Lutheran on Wednesday.
Several Blue Knights players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Amelia Rigel, who scored 14 points. Madison York was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Brookfield Academy dropped their record down to 8-7 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Milwaukee Lutheran, their victory bumped their record up to 7-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brookfield Academy will face off against St. Joseph at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Joseph is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games. As for Milwaukee Lutheran, they will head out on the road to square off against South Milwaukee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
