It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Bishop Snyder Cardinals had no problem doing just that on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 56-35 margin over the Indians. Bishop Snyder has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 20 points or more this season.
Bishop Snyder's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Asya Jones, who scored 18 points along with five steals. Jones has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Carolyn Caldwell, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
The victory was the third in a row for Bishop Snyder, bringing their record for this year to 17-9. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Baldwin, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-15.
Bishop Snyder's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Stallions on February 7th. Providence School will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. Baldwin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
