Belleview Christian is on a three-game streak of home losses, Lone Star a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Belleview Christian Bruins will take on the Lone Star Longhorns at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Thursday, things could have been worse for Belleview Christian, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 37-20 loss to Dawson School. Belleview Christian has struggled against Dawson School recently, as their match on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Belleview Christian saw an underclassman step up: Harjas Thiara scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. Thiara hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ivy Esch, who scored two points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, Lone Star was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 35-30 to Arickaree.
Belleview Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Lone Star, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
