Florence is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Vicksburg get on the board and left with a 25-0 victory on Thursday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by ten runs or more this season.
Jaid Jackson made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (two). She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Florence got a massive performance out of Ryleigh Travelstead, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Those three RBI gave Travelstead a new career-high. Navayiah Aaron was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
Florence was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .750. They are 7-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, Wesson finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They lost 7-0 to Warren Central.
Florence's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Wesson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Florence hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .333. However, it's not like Wesson struggles in that department as they've averaged .367. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
