Beaver is 9-1 against Millard since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Beavers will head out on the road to square off against the Eagles at 3:30 p.m. Beaver is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.
Beaver took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over Grand County.
KaBella Low spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jerzee Beaumont, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Danzee Bradshaw was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Millard). They were the clear victors by a 19-0 margin over Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams on Thursday. The Eagles not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 1, 2025 (when they won 25-0).
Macie Wade was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2025. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That stolen base was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Millard got a massive performance out of Emily Stephenson, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI Stephenson has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Maren Davies, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with five RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Millard was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .462. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .320 or higher in three consecutive games.
Millard's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Beaver, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Beaver has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Millard struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Beaver's way against Millard in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Beaver made off with a 15-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Beavers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
