While losing is never fun, Edgerton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 746th, while Antwerp is ranked 164th).
Antwerp's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Landon Brewer, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Zaine McMichael, who scored 20 points.
Edgerton has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Antwerp, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1.
Edgerton will head out on the road to face off against Paulding at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Paulding is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Antwerp, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Fairview at 7:30 p.m.
