Softball Recap: Jefferson's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Jefferson barely beat Allen East the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 12-6 victory on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

The win (which was Jefferson's third in a row) raised their record to 10-4. As for Allen East, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Jefferson will square off against Shawnee at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.73 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Allen East, they will challenge Marion Local at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
