Chatsworth scaled the state rankings by moving to 745 from 788 this week, the biggest jump in West Valley. The Chancellors climbed the ranks as a result of beating Granada Hills Charter 24-21.
Birmingham added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Taft, 53-0. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Patriots.
The Highlanders' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Ramon Johnson threw for 219 and 1 touchdown and Jordan Williams had 117 yards receiving. On the ground Xavier Salazar contributed 90 yards. Bryson Bowman helped Granada Hills Charter's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 67 yards.

Leading West Valley in both passing and receiving yards, Billy Parra's team's Johnson and Ryan Willmore have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-10 quarterback Johnson has thrown for 1,929 yards this season, while Willmore has 39 catches for 598 yards. Abraham Thomas from the Toreadors leads the league in rushing with 1,305 yards.
The Highlanders' Johnson is within 71 passing yards of surpassing 2,000 on the season coming into this week's game against Van Nuys.
Andrew Kim's team and Granada Hills Charter played the most contested game in the league this week, with Andrew Kim's team eventually emerging with a 24-21 victory.
