Southwest Yosemite recap December 3, 2013
Bakersfield added to the longest winning streak in Southwest Yosemite this week by beating Central, 45-6. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Drillers.
Bakersfield took down the Grizzlies 45-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Asauni Rufus threw for 68 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 134 yards during the win.
5-foot-10 quarterback Josh Medina of Liberty is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,547. He has also thrown 18 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Dj Reed. The Independence star has 38 catches for 555 yards.
Paul Golla's team led the league in scoring this week by notching 45 points on Central. Rufus ran for 134 yards in the win.
