Baseball Recap: Green Bay Southwest Has No Trouble Against Green Bay East

Green Bay Southwest and Green Bay East faced off in a cross-town battle on Monday. The Fighting Trojans put the hurt on the Red Devils with a sharp 13-3 victory. Considering the Fighting Trojans have won seven matches by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Green Bay Southwest let Braxton Murphy and Jacob Richardson run wild. Murphy got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and one triple, while Richardson went 2-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those five RBI gave Richardson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ethan Richardson, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Green Bay Southwest and bumps their season record up to 9-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Green Bay Southwest will challenge Sheboygan North at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Fighting Trojans are facing the Golden Raiders at the right time seeing as the Golden Raiders are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Green Bay East, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Pulaski at 4:30 p.m. on the 27th.
