They had to suffer through a rough 65-22 loss at the hands of Brevig Mission. Hogarth Kingeekuk Sr. Memorial was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-12.
Brevig Mission was led to victory by Mary Bruns and Ashley Olanna. Bruns scored 26 points, while Olanna scored 26 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Adams, who scored six points.
Hogarth Kingeekuk Sr. Memorial's loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-1. As for Brevig Mission, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-0.
