Geoffrey Creighton Lefevre Goes Supernova in Vela Win
Vela picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Geoffrey Creighton Lefevre. Creighton Lefevre turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 207 yards and four touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes.
Vela's victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Creighton Lefevre and Vela will face off against Rowe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Jp Garza Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Jp Garza posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 166 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.9 yards per carry.
The win was the third in a row for McAllen Memorial, bringing their record for this year to 5-1. Garza and McAllen Memorial will be playing at home against Juarez-Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Jonathan Flores and Co. Win Sixth in a Row
Jonathan Flores was instrumental in extending Vela's winning streak to six on Friday. Flores turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 135 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 131 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Unfortunately for Juarez-Lincoln, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Flores. Flores rushed for 244 yards and five touchdowns on only 12 carries the last time he and the Huskies duked it out back in October of 2023.

Thomas Aparicio's Big Game Leads Mission over Palmview
Thomas Aparicio was a major factor in Mission's win over Palmview on Friday. Palmview had no answer to Aparicio as he rushed for 113 yards on only 12 carries, and also picked up 75 receiving yards.
The victory got Mission back to even at 3-3. Aparicio and Mission will take on Rio Grande City on Friday.

Big Game from Botello As Rowe Won 27-7
Rounding off our Top Five is Adrian Botello of Rowe. Botello threw for 161 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 46 yards.
The victory (which was Rowe's third in a row) raised their record to 3-3. Botello and Rowe will be playing at home against Vela at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
