This season hasn't been kind to the Lordstown Red Devils, who are still winless after their 17th match. They had to suffer through a rough 66-13 loss at the hands of Mineral Ridge. While losing is never fun, Lordstown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 811th, while the Rams are ranked 270th).
It was another big night for Ava Hulett, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds for Mineral Ridge. Hulett hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Lily Merolillo, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Lordstown dropped their record down to 0-17 with that loss, which was their 21st straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Mineral Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season.

As for Mineral Ridge, they will be playing at home against the Blue Devils at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
