The Maplewood Rockets lost against the Windham Bombers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Maplewood fell 62-52 to Windham. Maplewood has not had much luck with Windham recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Defeat or not, Maplewood got some senior leadership from Andrew Barnett who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds and Alex Donaldson who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Barnett has scored all season.
Even though they lost, Maplewood smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Maplewood bumped their record down to 2-10 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points per game. As for Windham, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.
Maplewood will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Mathews at 7:00 p.m. As for Windham, they will head out on the road to challenge Harding at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Harding's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
