The Stratford Red Devils can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against New Milford by a score of 50-42. That eight points margin sets a new team best for Stratford this season.
New Milford's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryder Gee, who scored 13 points. Jacob Czupkowski was another key contributor, scoring five points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Stratford's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for New Milford, they bumped their record down to 2-8 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Stratford will be playing in front of their home fans against Kolbe-Cathedral at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Kolbe-Cathedral's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for New Milford, New Milford and Newtown will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
