The Southern Christian Patriots lost against the East Central HomeSchool Patriots back in January of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Southern Christian was beaten by East Central HomeSchool 82-45. Southern Christian was down 68-39 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Leading East Central HomeSchool to victory were Knox Cooper and Anthony Knetter. Cooper dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten assists, while Knetter dropped a double-double on 35 points and 15 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Knetter has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Greyson Boyd, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Southern Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for East Central HomeSchool, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.
Southern Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tuscaloosa Home Educators at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Tuscaloosa Home Educators presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Southern Christian in Alabama (Tuscaloosa Home Educators is ranked 194th, while Southern Christian is ranked 420th). As for East Central HomeSchool, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Wiregrass at 12:00 p.m. on January 27th. Wiregrass is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
